bio

Elisa Carreno was born in São Paulo and is currently living in Berlin.

She studied Art Education at São Paulo State University in Bauru, SP - Brazil, and has done continuing education courses at The Art Student League of New York, The National Academy School of Fine Arts, The Bruce High Quality Foundation in New York, and at the Institut Tomie Ohtake in São Paulo. She received the "The best in show" award from the Preview of Gowanus Open Studios show in 2016 and the "Runner-up" award from the People's Choice show at The Greenpoint Gallery in 2014 in New York.

She participated in around 50 exhibitions in 12 different countries, including The United Nations in New York, ArtExpo New York, and the Dakar Art Biennale.
