We are looking for an experienced First Decorator (m/f/d) to join our theater workshops from August 1, 2024.
The main responsibilities include:
Organization/group leadership of the decoration department, including coordinating another employee in the decoration department, material planning and ordering, project calculation, and settlement
Expert advice and support for the design processes in collaboration with the stage designers before and during production
Creation of decorations and upholstery according to the designs of the stage designers
Sewing of prospectuses, curtains, and floor cloths
Covering walls
Flat padding work

Requirements:
Completed vocational training as an interior decorator (m/f/d) or a related craft apprenticeship with a duration of at least three years
Several years of professional experience, ideally from working in a theater or set workshop
Ability to work independently and systematically based on technical drawings, sketches, and photos
Manual, technical, and organizational skills for the implementation of all processes and tasks related to the workshop and stage area
Special care and reliability, teamwork
Physical resilience
Fluent German language skills in both written and spoken form
