International open call for a festival of site-specific and immersive theater

South Specific Festival announces an open call for international co-productions of new site-specific and immersive projects in the field of live arts and audiovisual creation.

South Specific is a unique theater festival that focuses on immersive and site-specific projects, connecting forms of live art with unusual locations in the South Bohemian region. For its second edition, which will take place in 2028, the festival is announcing an open call for new immersive and/or site-specific projects by foreign teams (outside the Czech Republic) or international co-production teams (from around the world, or from the Czech Republic in co-production with at least one foreign partner).

The festival is part of the České Budějovice – European Capital of Culture 2028 program.

Who can apply: The call is open to professional artistic teams or individuals, including recent graduates of art schools, who create works in the fields of theater, dance, music, new circus, performing arts, audiovisual art, visual installations, happenings, new technologies, or performance art.
